COVID has us in an exclusive relationship with Amazon Prime. Since March, we kick it with our gal pals Target pick up, and Instacart. The kids think the mailman is our bestie because he’s always bringing them “surprises”. The Mailman at this point trumps Santa at our house. Haha.
So today, I am sharing a round-up of some of our favorite toys. These are our Top 10 Toys Toddler Girls will LOVE and that have gotten us this far through quarantine. I created this list of toys specifically for toddler girls and we are guilty of having every single one of them. These are Marley’s tried and true favorites. This list has all sorts of fun things that little toddler girls will absolutely love for birthdays, holidays, or if you just need a “surprise” for the kids to break up the week!
1.) Doctors Kit – Pretend play is huge for toddlers and this one is a crowd favorite in our house. Both our 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter enjoy playing “doctor” to all their stuffed animals. This is a great way to encourage pretend play and utilize their wild imagination.
2.) Fisher-Price Little People Big Home – There is something about dollhouses that little girls LOVE. This one isn’t super fancy but it is affordable, cute and doesn’t take up too much space! It also lights up and has sounds and comes with several characters for pretend play. This Little people playhouse has been Marley’s favorite since she turned one!
3.) Scooter – Never underestimate the power of a little girl! This gift is seriously the gift that keeps on giving. Scooting around the house, neighborhood, and to use on walks this scooter has so much longevity! Surprisingly, even though our toddler is only two, she picked up scootering so fast and wasn’t even scared! I highly recommend it as a gift for any toddler.
4.) LeapFrog Scoop & Learn Icecream Cart– There’s nothing sweeter than a little girl with a love for ICE CREAM. This fun ice cream cart encourages hand-eye coordination, counting, and learning how to follow directions while taking orders. This has been a hit at our house for both older toddlers and younger!
5.) Little Tikes First Slide – This simple slide was a quarantine purchase that SERIOUSLY just keeps on giving. When they closed down schools & parks at the start of COVIDthe the kids played with this Slide every single day. They still play with it to this day, they launch toys down the slide, slide their stuffed animals, and play on this slide constantly. I highly recommend this as a gift for any toddler.
6.) Cash Register – When it comes to shopping little girls know where it’s at and more importantly how to pay! Kids really do watch every move you make and learn so much from just watching what you do on a day to day basis. This Cash Register is great because it makes sounds, opens the drawer and kids can play pretend grocery stores!
7.) Disney Matching Game – This simple game is great for kids and toddlers or all ages. The game is straight forward, match the cards with one another. For 2-year-olds I place all the cards facing up and just ask them to look for the matching pairs. For my 4-year-old, I turn the cards over and help him with memory skills by asking him to flip over the cards and find the matching card. It’s simple & fun for all, and of course all with everyone’s favorite Disney characters.
8.) Build your own Flower Garden – We received this as a gift and I can’t say enough great things about it!!! The kids spend hours building, stacking, and creating their own garden and plants. The concept is pretty simple but they truly play with this stem flower garden on a daily basis.
9.) Wack A Frog Game – This game is a HIT! Even with adults!!! The frogs light up one by one and you hit the frogs that light up! The counter counts how many frogs you’ve hit and this game can be played by multiple players. Our toddlers love playing this game with each other to see who can wack more frogs its a great game for early learning and developing hand-eye coordination!
10.) Pretend Make Up– If you have followed me for a while, or watched my stories on Instagram, you know that this gift selection….is 100% from Marley. She is the girliest girl and loves pretending to be like mommy to the extreme. Playing pretend with makeup is on Marley’s must list all day err day list. My toddler sleeps with a purse full of pretend makeup… don’t even ask why… I seriously have no idea.
I hope this guide was helpful to you!! & that you are able to find your little toddler some fun new toys!
