BACK-TO-SCHOOL with Sun-Maid
September 8, 2020This post is sponsored by Sun-Maid, but all opinions are my own.
The kids are officially starting school this week and as we walk into the unknown we can’t help but feel a little bit nervous. HA! Actually, who am I kidding… I’m really nervous! I know a lot of other parents are probably feeling the same way … perplexed & torn about in-person learning. At the end of the day, no one knows what the right decision is and each family has to make their own decision on what works for their family.
The teachers are taking precautions, the schools are sanitizing, doing temperature checks and having kids remain as socially distant as possible. & yes, It’s going to be adjustment but, the kids are so excited and they can’t wait to see other kids, and finally meet their new teachers!
This week, we’re making treats for the administrators, teachers and school staff member’s to let them know how much we appreciate them! They have pivoted, been so patient and they are doing their best to provide a safe learning space for the kids and we can’t thank them enough!
To kick off the week, we’re dropping off trail mix jars to staff members & teachers to tell them how much we appreciate them and all they have done in preparation for the coming school year! It’s hard enough to teach, and to add wearing a mask, hand sanitizing and constant hand washing in the mix, is A LOT to juggle!
The trail mix mason jar is layered with a variety of healthy snacks. To start we layered the bottom with delicious Sun-Maid yogurt rains, then peanuts, sunflower seeds, and just a few dark chocolate pieces. We hope that this sweet “mix” will brighten the day of some amazing teachers!
Sun-Maid’s Yogurt Covered Raisins are made with whole fruit and put a twist on Sun-Maid’s classic California sun-dried raisins. A coat of indulgent-flavored yogurt over Sun-Maid’s timeless and trusted little raisins makes these treats a tasty and better-for-you snacking option. Sun-Maid Yogurt Covered Raisins are available in chocolate peanut butter and PB&J, as well as chocolate, vanilla and strawberry vanilla.
Make your own trail mix jar by filling mason jars with all of your favorite snacks. You can start with anything from nuts to, cereal, and Sun-Maid raisins! Then seal the jar, add some cute ribbon, and a witty gift tag for a fun gift teachers will love!
