Fall Bucket List – Fun Fall Activities for Families
September 11, 2020With fall upon us! Who else is ready for pumpkin candles and sweater weather?! The days are still pretty warm here in El Paso, but with the season just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create a fall bucket list that will keep the whole family entertained. This Fall Bucket List will surely keep you and your family busy all season long! Well, lucky for you I created a free downloadable printable! All you need to do isĀ click here, download, and print! You can hang your Fall Bucket List on your fridge and cross off each item your family completes each item, and have the BEST FALL EVER!!!
- Visit an Apple Orchard. If you live in the El Paso, TX or Las Cruces,NM area make an appointment at the U-Pick Mesilla Valley Apple Farm. Pick a bag of apples and watch your kids light up as they run around the apple farm searching for the perfect apple!
- Make A Bon Fire. Make a bonfire in the backyard! Sit around the fire and tell stories and watch the fire crackle as you make memories talking about the best part of your week. If you can’t make a fire outdoors, light your fireplace
- Play Football. Pack a picnic and head to the park to toss the football around. Not into football? Bring a soccer ball, any excuse to be outdoors in nice crisp fall weather is a plus!
- Make A Pie! Pick your favorite recipe and make it a family affair. Have your kids roll out the dough, cut apples and help bake a delicious desert for everyone to enjoy.
- Camp indoors or Make a Fort. Break out the camping gear for a night spent indoors, play with flashlights and tell stories as you lay together and fall asleep “underneath the stars”. If you’re brave go on a real camping trip! But if you have little toddlers sometimes less is more and building a pillow fort and watching a movie in it is all that they will allow for.
- Make a pinecone bird feeder. Make a simple pinecone bird feeder by gluing birdseed to a pinecone. Tie the pinecones up by a nearby tree and enjoy all the newfound friends that will stop by and munch on delicious seeds.
- Letters of Gratitude. Have each family member write a letter of gratitude to someone in your family. Mail them to cousins, friends, distant relatives, and include a drawing to make them smile. Practicing gratitude and being grateful to the people around you will make everyone stop and think outwardly and appreciate those around them.
- Corn Maze. This is such a fun fall activity and I highly recommend it to all families. At the corn maze, they have plenty of fun things for kids of all ages to do! Get lost in a corn maze together and use the map to find the way out! Working together will help you bond and develop leadership skills in your little ones.
- Make Soup. Find your favorite fall soup recipe and recruit the whole family to help prepare a meal for all. Have the kids chop, dice, and throw in the ingredients in a pot!
- Paint Pumpkins. Go pick out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch or your local grocery store and decorate your pumpkins with paint and stickers! See what fun creations the kids can make for your front porch.
- Go on a Hike. Get ready and go on a hike! Enjoy the great outdoors, breathe in the fresh air, and take in a new perspective.
- Collect Leaves & Make Art. Go on a fall walk and collect leaves! When you get home have the kids glue all of their nature walk finds on a piece of paper and create fall art for the refrigerator.
- Make Smores. Even if you do this over your stovetop it is a fun activity that everyone will enjoy! Watch for lit marshmallows and enjoy a night of family fun with a delicious treat everyone will remember.
- Donate Coats. Have your kids try on old coats and donate them to those in need at a local coat drive.
- Make hot chocolate. Make hot chocolate and put on a movie that everyone will enjoy.
- Visit a Pumpkin Patch. Go to the pumpkin patch and pick your favorite pumpkin! Typically they will have fun activities for the kids like hayrides and offer delicious fall treats!
I hope you have fun making memories with your family with this bucket list! Whats on your bucket list?
