Our sweet girl turned TWO and I can’t get over how fast it all went by! I’m a little heart broken that because of COVID we weren’t able to do something amazing for her 2nd Birthday but, none the less we did everything we could to make it as special as can be. We had originally planned on taking the kids on a family vacation to Disney World and then spend a few days in Miami. We waited to see how things would play out and everything closed we had to cancel plans. Disney will always be there, and when it’s safer we cannot wait to take the kids!
This year, we opted for an impromptu playdate since we weren’t sure who would feel comfortable gathering and little birthday dinner with immediate family. My heart nearly exploded to see how excited Marley was when she saw her little friends for the first time in months. She was SO happy and, couldn’t wait to put on her tutu birthday dress for all her friends to see! It was a day filled with balloons, cake and ice cream and it couldn’t be a more perfect. This desert ice cream bar was the focal point for Marley’s 2nd summer birthday.
We were able to team up with some pretty incredible vendors for Marley’s desert table and cannot be more grateful to the creative MOM bosses I have become friends with here in El Paso! Our party ware, is from HelloMeParty. The company is whimsical, bright and full of fun! An open letter to my baby girl on her second birthday:
My sweet girl, you are two today and I am so proud of the little lady you have become. You are spunky, sweet, and WILD! You are extremely girly, you love people and you talk a million miles a minute. I hope that as you grow up you continue to be unafraid and take life by the horns. I hope that you will continue to welcome people into your heart and wave and say hello to strangers. The world needs more of YOU to unapologetically love, laugh and wave/smile at anyone who comes by. You are such a light in our lives and I am so lucky to be your mom. I know that at times I can be hard on you but, it is because I see a determination and a fight in you that won’t back down. You are fierce and strong and I can see it when you play with your brother. Please know that you teach me something about myself every single day and I am grateful. You have taught me how to be more loving, more compassionate and more open to the world around me. As you grow older please never loose your light and your fiery spirit and no that no matter where life takes you God always with you. If I can love you this much, imagine how much God loves you for giving you to me. I love you Marley girl. Happy Second Birthday Sweetie.
Love, Mom
